This week on The Flyby, we’ve decided to get in the spirit of the spooky season with a little something that’s actually intentionally spine-tingling instead of terrifyingly bad like the Arrowverse likely will be when the new seasons begin debuting next week. So in honor of its upcoming 25th anniversary, we’re taking a look back at something DC and WB did that was actually good: the 1993 animated flick Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, in which the Caped Crusader has to fight a murderous apparition while simultaneously being haunted by a ghost from his past.
Both Cranky T-Rex and Sarjex will have plenty to say about why the spinoff from an animated series in the 90s packs more of an emotional wallop than even Zack Snyder’s sullen Superman.
We’ve also got a new episode of The Gifted to discuss. Both of our intrepid hosts felt the icy touch of series death coming from last week’s lackluster season opener, so hopefully this episode will brought it back from the brink of mediocrity.
And there’s probably a bunch of other random news to cover, so be here at 10 PM ET for all that and more!
