The Flyby returns this week with a review of a movie that normally would be outside of our purview.  After all, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is about Cold War spy shenanigans, and spies don’t usually wear capes.  So, why the change of pace? Well, in short, because Superman is in it.

At least, he was Superman. While our intrepid hosts Cranky T-Rex and Sarjex were recovering from their ordeal with Catwoman, The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Henry Cavill has been shoved into a red sun radiation chamber and depowered.  He’s out as the Man of Steel and WB will shift its focus towards a Supergirl movie instead, presumably in an attempt to half-reboot the dumpster fire that is the DC universe.

Before he goes, our intrepid hosts wanted to see if outraged fans had a real case for keeping Cavill, and since Cranky remembered him being a whole lot more fun in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. than the super sourpuss they’ve come to dislike, they decided to give it a look to see what, if anything, Cavill could’ve brought to the table with different writers and directors.  It might even be a fun movie to talk about on its own!

And while we’re talking about super-beings, we’ll have to cover that brand spanking new trailer for Captain Marvel.  Are we hyped? Can Brie Larson bring to the table what Cavill couldn’t?

Find out all that and more tonight at 10 PM ET right here on!
